ERNESTO RICARDO VITERI ECHEVERRIA, born in Guatemala City, Guatemala on October 1st 1928; admitted to the practice in 1953.

Legal Education: San Carlos University, Guatemala City (Attorney at Law and Notary, 1953).

Co-Author of The Guatemalan Code of Commerce, The Guatemalan Industrial Property Law and of The Central American Agreement for the Protection of Industrial Property.

Was Dean of The Rafael Landivar University Law School (1985-1989); Professor of Civil Law (Property and Contracts, 1982-1989), Commercial Law and Corporations (1965-1969 and 1983-1986), Notarial Law (1987); Industrial Property Law (1995), at Rafael Landivar University Law School;

Is a member of: The Guatemalan Bar Association (Colegio de Abogados y Notarios de Guatemala); The Commercial Law Institute of Guatemala; The Notarial Law Institute of Guatemala; The International Trademark Association; The Association Internationale de la Propriete Intellectuelle (AIPPI); Interamerican Association of Industrial Property (ASIPI); The Guatemalan Industrial Property Association. Was VicePresident of The Guatemalan Bar Association´s Honor Court (Tribunal de Honor) (2005-2007).
